ToDoList for the next versions of the ontology and enumeration of the issues related to V1

We discussed yesterday with Fabien to set up a todolist of important elements to publish for the V1 of the core ontology and what will be in the V2 (and V3).

From my point of view, I would say that for the V1, here is a list of important points to check before publishing it : 1) We agree with the current definitions of Agents, Artifacts, Workspace and HypermediaMASPlatform, Signifier and Ressource profile, and Hostable.

So it means that before I closed all the issues @andreiciortea @oboissier give us your confirmation.

2) Concerning the different properties, we agree that the current properties are sufficient for a V1.

• hmas:describes

• hmas:exposesSignifier

• hmas:hosts

• hmas:isContainedIn

• hmas:isDescribedBy

• hmas:isHomeOf

• hmas:isHostedBy

AND NO hmas:hasHomeMASPlatform and hmas:hasHomeWorkspace

So do you think this is enough for a V1 ?

Concerning the future V2, we could add the vocabulary dedicated to interactions (by thinking it for the regulation part in V3)?

Here is a list of a vocabulary that could be added for the V2 :

Thus, V2 will deal with the basic components for interaction while V3 will be focused on the regulation part by extending V2.

I proposed some time ago an exhaustive vocabulary for the regulation part here which could be added for the future V3.

I understood yesterday that we were talking about the V1, V2, ... of the core ontology. It seems that you are considering the whole ontology. Do you confirm that we are talking about V1, V2 or the core ontology?

My understanding is that V1 is only the core ontology but V2 hopefully will be a joint release of the core and other ontologies.

• V1 = core ontology
• V2 = updates on core ontology + fipa
• V3 = updates on core ontology + updates on fipa + fna

Thanks @DrLeturc and @FabienGandon for organizing the discussions and release for the core vocab v1.

My quick answer: agreed on v1 for the core vocab, I'll review all details this week and beginning of next week.

I think the FIPA and JADE vocabularies are less consequential and should come with the JADE-hypermedia prototype. I will try to have them ready for v1, but time is a problem.

For core vocab v2, it is also my understanding that we would aim to have at least a first release of the interaction vocab (cc @danaivach and @smnmyr). If we can already have linking pins for the regulation vocab in v2, that would be great (cc @oboissier).

Quick proposal on versioning: we could also keep the versioning of the 3 vocabs independent from one another (independent releases). Both the interaction and regulation vocabs would likely import a version of the core vocab, which would avoid ambiguity. We then need to figure out how to deal with the interaction and regulation vocabs versions (e.g., the regulation vocab could also import the interaction vocab if justified).

Milestones are a good way to link version with corresponding issues.
