Our proposal for hmas:Signifier is as follows:
"Structured data that support the use of a resource by agents. Structured data may include metadata about the signifier (e.g., creator, salience)."
- It avoids the use of the term "affordance"
- It avoids limiting the scope of signifiers to Web annotations.
- It avoids relating signifiers only to
hmas:Artifact, as signifiers may need to relate to resources that cannot be modelled as artifacts.
We suggest that we close the RP for version 1 using this definition, unless further objections.
hmas:Signifier remains also a subclass of hmas:Hostable
Quick comment: we should move conceptual discussions to the issue just so we keep them in the same place ;-)
