Doesn't affect Explorer fonts after boot #72

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

[Which program triggers the problem? Specify the filename if possible.]
explorer.exe

[What steps will reproduce the problem?]
1. loading windows after restart/cold boot.
2. in other words, if explorer.exe loads before the gdipp service.
3.

[What is the expected output? What do you see instead?]
All other programs I load myself after startup are properly rendered by
gdipp. Windows Explorer and taskbar fonts remain untouched.

[What version of gdipp (including renderer)? On which operating system?]
v0.7.6, FreeType, default "Windows service" install option, Windows 7
Ultimate x64

[Please provide any additional information below. Screenshots always help.]
Terminating then relaunching explorer.exe temporarily fixes the issue, but
Windows fonts are untouched again after the next reboot.
This is the exact same issue as Issue #19 here:

us%20Priority%20Stars%20Owner%20Summary&sort=&id=19
..but I still get the problem even with latest stable release.

What happens if you stop and start the gdipp service? Ideally the untouched
explorer
should be rendered when you restart the service. In gdipp 0.8, there is a new
component named "gdipp Enumerator" (gdipp_enum_xx.exe). It forces explorer to be
renderer once executed. If it works, maybe you can add it to your startup list.

Manually restarting the gdipp service works, but my point is that everything
should
be working automatically from the get go. I don't feel comfortable using any
betas
though =P
