You can establish this via automation right?
how? It seems the night time suspension cannot be turned off completely - only the time range can be changed...
Just force update whenever you want via service calls in an automation if you have very specific needs around it.
I would discourage doing this as the 12v battery stops charging after a few top ups regardless of being plugged in. It is a flaw in these cars. You could drain your 12v battery with the approach you plan.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Not having any data for overnights
Describe the solution you'd like It'd be nice if the plug-in supported suspending connections based on the plug-in/charging state.
As in, if at the pre-set night turn off time the charger was connected, keep checking. If the charger is not connected then follow the set suspending time range.
Include the logs of the end point from Data in HA if this is a sensor
