Re-organize the node positions not working (Maximum recursion depth exceeded) #1973

Open NejcKejzar opened 5 years ago

Hi,

I am experiencing a rather annoying bug with the Tree view and Re-organize the node positions in Scipion interface - some of the protocols are randomly scattered and can no longer be sorted with the reoganize button, forcing me to use List view, which is making processing difficult to sort out. When I check the terminal the RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded error is listed - see the attached screenshot. Some of my colleagues are experiencing the same problem, but they can get around it by simply restarting the Scipion project. In my case, restarting the session does not resolve the issue.

Expected behavior The ability to reorganize the Tree view with Re-organize the node positions.

Screenshots Screenshot from 2019-05-09 11-20-24

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Additional context I am connecting to Scipion on a computing cluster through NoMachine. Previously I had no difficulties with sorting, but as my project got bigger, the error occurred at some point and has persisted to this day.

Thank you kindly for any help and answers!

Best, Nejc Kejzar

Hi Nejc, Thanks a lot for reporting this issue. Would you mind to share the project.sqlite file of this project? It will make possible to try to reproduce this error, but it does not contain no data.

Hi Nejc,

Thanks for sharing the sqlite file. I haven't forget about the issue, just quite busy. I will take a look at this as soon as I can.

Hi @NejcKejzar , I had a look today and it seems that relion postprocess protocol 11290 is causing the problems. Still not clear to me why exactly.. I have removed it from the database and the project tree seems to open ok. I have uploaded fixed project.sqlite.zip file.
