Security and privacy improvements of the nature described can sometimes be at odds with operational considerations. This is particularly true when an existing protocol is changed, though I'll open a separate issue for that. See MARNEW and discussions arising from the same. Needs text.

Where in the document do you want this text? We can adapt some of the "addicted to cleartext" for this (using a more value-neutral term), but I'm not clear on where you think it would go.

This could be a small section before or after the "Interplay" section. I couldn't see any natural home in the existing sections.
