Im having trouble installing the custom connector. How should I install it?

Answer:

To install the custom connector for the CCO Azure Infrastructure Dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the file CCoDashboardAzureConnector.mez in the ccodashboard/dashboards/CCODashboard-Infrastructure/ folder.
  2. Copy the CCoDashboardAzureConnector.mez file.
  3. Paste the file into the Power BI default folder for custom connectors. If this folder doesn't exist, you will need to create it. The path for this folder is C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors.
  4. If you are experiencing issues with the connector and Power BI due to OneDrive, create the folder structure within the OneDrive folder at ....\Documents\Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors. After doing this, the custom connector should be recognized.

Before installing the custom connector, ensure you have downloaded and installed the Microsoft Power BI Desktop Edition from the Microsoft Store, as it is required for running the CCO Azure Infrastructure Dashboard.

Remember to replace %username% with your actual Windows username when navigating to the folder path.
