Annie’s assessment is that the covariance and correlation significance details are pretty much compatible, so for the correlation tables let’s go with N, r, CI and p.
We can base this on the IJE instructions to authors (and also note their stern comments on "significance": • In the IJE we actively discourage the use of the term "statistically significant" or just "significant" and such statements in method sections as "findings at p<0.05 were considered significant". Where used, we ask authors to provide effect estimates with confidence intervals and exact P values, and to refrain from the use of the term "significant" in either the results or discussion section of their papers.
