Unable to export global data for more than 3 years at a time

When exporting global data to CSV, it seems the only way I've found (as a user) is to conduct a search, scroll and click a figure to view a table for 3 years. Once in this view it seems data can only be downloaded for the current view (3 years).

My workaround has been to download data for several 3-year periods and merge them, which is not ideal.

Perhaps the location of downloadable data can be made clearer to the user, and exports can be done for large datasets (ideally with multiple variables e.g. total aid, sector aid etc), as many may use IATI data for studies etc (as I am doing).

CSV download link could appear in this view rather than nested within specific figures/variables:

This looks like a data service the Datastore should be providing which @amy-silcock or someone from the Technical Team could help you with.

d-portal has not been allocated development time to provide this sort of service and the csv download links were added as a simple download of the data that is already on the page, for those specific pages.

As Shi's mentioned other IATI tools allow you to download large CSVs and tailor them to your needs.

If you want a similar output, but looking at one country at a time, I'd suggest: Country Development Finance Data

• This tool allows you to download budget and transaction information. Each financial figure is converted into USD and is split per country and sector.

The other option is using: IATI Datastore

• Here you have many more search terms and criteria. However, there's limited USD conversion (only for IMF currencies) and the figures are not split by country and sector. This is work you would need to do yourself.
