Implementation Schedule error in DFID documentation on "other identifier" #3

Open stevieflow opened 10 years ago

stevieflow commented 10 years ago

From @rolfkleef:

The spreadsheet with the Implementation Schedule has guidance based on the DfID requirements. The guidance under Activity Data for the Other Identifier element says:

This can be used if another organisation will be reporting the same activity, and can hold the activity identifier of the other times this activity has been reported."

This is contrary to what the standard says:

"An alternative, non-IATI identifier for the activity. [...]"

Another IATI identifier should go into the related-activity element, although there is no relation type suitable to say "also reported as".

Which spreadsheet? And who should this be assigned to?

This was an issue @rolfkleef sent through Zendesk, but is more applicable here

I think it would have been the general Imp Schedule spreadsheet - the others are all iterations on it

The current Imp Scheds will need review of this issue - it was something I also picked up in terms of the documentation.

More widely however, there is an issue in that the text in ALL the Imp Schedules may be out of date with current text/thinking (and particularly 2.01)

It's in the general NGO implementation schedule file, yes, worksheet "Activity Data Guide (Delete)" (via http://iatistandard.org/guidance/implementation-schedule/)

(I still have to circulate the implementation schedule as we drafted in our meeting early May and are using in the Partos programme...)

@rolfkleef thanks. If you send that, we could certainly host it here, and also link to it from iatistandard?
