Interesting, but I think this is going to be way down the list of features. We don't even sync timelines with ourselves yet! Every time you open Cawbird, it opens at the top because there are awkward corner-cases and things that don't play nicely with the design if we tried to go all the way back to whenever the user last used the app.
If we do put something like this in, it'll be through a standard interface, though. I'm not willing to hook a FOSS app to proprietary APIs like Google Drive, Dropbox etc. If they support WebDav or we can do it some other way then that's fine.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. One of the killer features of the twitterific twitter-client within the apple ecosystem for me is the feature to sync timeline position with icloud over ios and macos devices
with upcoming linux based phones like pinephone and librem5, i might want to use cawbird on the phone as well as on my desktop too, and will have a need for timeline sync
Describe the solution you'd like i don't know tbh whether the data needed for such feature is even available and parseable, but being able to sync timeline position to any cloud file-service like google drive, dropbox, ... (as json data) could be a solution
Describe alternatives you've considered
