At the moment, our test team does not have any (or a set of) Linux environments in which to test. I would expect the Mac install shell scripts to be mostly if not fully compatible with most Linux distributions. As for JRE/JDK, under the OpenJDK link you can grab IBM J9 VM environment. The tool's Java dependency is minimal.
We will pursue getting 1 or more Linux configurations setup to validate install script.
Jonathan, my circumvention has been to install it in a Oracle Virtualbox running windows.

This is the error when running on Linux.
run.sh: 11: ./ca-offline-macos: Exec format error
Can you provide a linux client install script? Also, perhaps use the IBM JRE/JDK?
