Question: Why is there a hinted and a unhinted version of JP and KR? #465

Could someone explain why it makes sense to provide an unhinted and a hinted version of IBM Plex Sans JP and KR? Was discussing this with a client and could not find any explanation and I'm not so familiar with JP and KR... Thanks!
