Download Cplex academic version #45

Hi there,

May I ask how can I download Cplex academic 12.8 version? I've registered with my student email, however when I search the product, it need IBM site number (?) to download?

Kindly please assist.

Hi @juz4karen

Please connect to Academic Initiative with this link: https://www.ibm.com/academic/home

Click "Technology -> Data Science" then scroll down to where you see the ribbon with "Resources" , "Software", "Courseware" etc... Click on Software.

Just below, you will see the ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio with a Download link.

Follow that Download link - it will lead you to the IBM Academic Initiative download link.

Click "Search for software" on the left menu.

In the "Find by part number" section, enter CJ2IKML as the part number.

Then click the search icon.

Hi @vlkong ,

I follow your instruction until

Just below, you will see the ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio with a Download link.

It showed 'Register or login to access this resource' [Figure 1]. Then I proceed to login my email, then it said my access has expired, will need to re-validate. After re-validate in the mail I received, when I try to login again, it just stuck at keep loading [Figure 2].

From then, everytime I tried to login, it happen the same thing, loading ...

Not sure what happened....

The Academic Initative site gets sometimes stuck when you have old cookies or navigation data in your browser. Can you please try clean up your navigation data (for chrome: click on the 3 dots on the right of the navigation bar, then Settings then Privacy and security then clear browsing data. You also want to make sure that there is no anti-pop up addons (or whitelist the academic initiative site).

I've tried clear history, cookies, browsing data, and also allow pop-up. Still unable to load the page.

Feel so clueless >< May I ask if it's possible to send me the installer please?

I installed it before, but my computer crashed this morning, I had to reformat it and lost all the work and data (T.T). I'll need to install again and redo my work... Not sure why this time I couldn't get into the product download page...

Appreciate your kind help. Kindly assist.

This looks like an authentication problem from the Academic Initiative site - I'm sorry but it's out of my control.

You should contact https://www.ibm.com/mysupport and ask them to check that your Academic Initiative login is active and the service is up.

@vlkong please tell me how can I solve a problem which has more than 1000 variables or 1000 constraints using the academics initiative version of ILOG CPLEX OPtimization Studio.
