This is what IMHO we could do when releasing RiC-O 1.0: provide, along with the single and complete OWL file that already exists, a set of files that would as a whole be equivalent to the first one:
Sounds like an excellent plan to me, this splitting seems very natural!
Everything is now available in the version_1-0 branch. The modularized version is in a specific subfolder in current-version, along with a readme file which explains what it is, why it has been prepared, in which use cases it may be useful, while it is not the reference version for now and it is not recommended to use it. RiC-O 1.0 is almost finished; still one day work I think.

The ontology file could be splitted into several files so tyhat it is easier to maintain and use.
