Description: CrowdLink is a Web3 decentralized crowdfunding platform that empowers users with full control and transparency in fundraising. By leveraging blockchain technology, it allows project creators to manage campaigns and data independently while keeping backers informed and credited for their contributions.
What we learned:
We gained a deeper understanding of developing fully on-chain dApps using the Internet Computer (ICP). The experience allowed us to explore the unique capabilities of ICP, especially in creating decentralized applications that run entirely on-chain, with no reliance on traditional cloud services. This deepened our appreciation for the efficiency and scalability that ICP offers.
Challenges:
One of the main challenges was adapting to the new paradigms introduced by ICP, especially in terms of handling state management and scalability on-chain. Integrating the various components, such as smart contracts, with our project took some time to master. Additionally, the hackathon's fast pace pushed us to quickly learn and apply new concepts, such as the Motoko programming language, which was new to us.
What we are proud of:
We're proud of successfully deploying a fully on-chain dApp that meets the criteria of the hackathon's track. Overcoming the technical challenges, especially in understanding and leveraging the ICP's features, was a significant achievement for us. Our ability to learn and adapt quickly within a short timeframe, while collaborating effectively as a team, is something we take pride in.
