Panorama Upgrade Testing Support #84

Placeholder for upgrade testing to be held June 6-8. Additional information to be provided meeting to be held June 5.

We will be testing the same dashboards as we did in the Q2 testing (#79), but with a more limited scope to make sure that the development site matches the live site. This will help ensure that the functionality and data within the site is not compromised during a MicroStrategy upgrade.

CDC has an annual meeting during this time and will be optionally attending as available, though not expected to test during the week of June 4.

Test will include checking whether the following conditions are met in the development site, as compared to the live site:

Any differences need to be noted with screenshots and steps to replicate the issue including dashboard title, filter selections, etc.

Timeline: Testing will need to be completed in the Development environment and then again in the Production environment. Note, that we do migrate the ‘issue resolutions’ found in Dev up to Prod before commencing Prod testing to eliminate testing/correcting issues twice. o June 6th – 8th: Test dev environment o June 11th – 15th: The dev team will be fixing anything found. Testers who have found issues may be asked to confirm resolutions. o June 20th – 22nd: Test Prod environment o June 22nd & 25th The dev team will fix anything found. Testers who have found issues may be asked to confirm resolutions.

Release: If there are no show stoppers, the release will be with Spotlight / Q2 Cleanse on 7/2/2018

Thank you all for testing! The developers will now work on resolving the issues you identified with the upgrade. If re-testing is needed after fixes are implemented, we will be reaching out via email. Thank you!

Thank you all again for round 1 of testing. Round 2 will start this week, and will run from Wednesday 6/20 through Friday 6/22. I will schedule a meeting for Tuesday afternoon to coordinate testers and review test instructions. Thank you!
