A Carefree Real Estate (ie Dutch: Zorgeloos Vastgoed) project is underway in the Netherlands, commissioned by the Royal Notarial Professional Organization (KNB) with the following ambition: Unburden consumers when buying and selling real estate by improving cooperation as a chain.

The analysis there can be summarized as follows: To successfully complete a home purchase or sale, you basically need four 'green check marks': Buyer OK, Seller OK, Property OK and Financing OK. Underlying there are various actors in the chain that do their work on the basis of available data.

On the SAP side, this is the thought described in this week's sprint for now.

Frontend: Screens after clicking "Start Offer" button

1) click button "start offer" 2) new screen will show which contains a) loading indicator saying "getting verified information" b) page displays 4 checkboxes of information to be checked 1) Seller (give instant green check) 2) House (give instant green check) 3) Buyer (will not show instant check but show "waiting for response"). Here, buyer will get request in their SSI wallet to share information. Once they click "share" in wallet, a green checkmark is shown 4) Finance check (this will show "pending" until 3) has green check, because finance check can only be done with information of 3).

Once all 4 have green check we move to next screen to close deal (TBD how it looks)

We elaborate this in detail for all four checks in separate issues with a standard template:

  1. explanation based on legal framework of standards
  2. source and competent authority of required evidence for test criteria
  3. what additional and/or alternative is needed if 2 is missing or insufficient
  4. correction and/or improvement needed for 2 (or even 1) as a result of 3
