Here is a curious oddity. I think it may be due to R-Instat trying to be too clever?
I have been having problems tidying some climatic data. It is odd that the Climatic > Tidy command did not recognise the year variable. I kept having to reset the dialogue and then it was ok, just once.
My year variable is called ano. You can see when I have returned to the dialogue below, the year variable has become blank and ano is not available to be included.
So I eventually decided to change the name ano to year to have a simple life. Surprise, surprise, it already thinks the name of the variable is Year! How did it decide that I wonder?
