Hello instat family. I am new at using r instat and would like to calculate seasonal climatic summaries instead on annual summaries. In southern Africa the season starts somewhere in October and ends the following year around April May. Maybe the solution has been give somewhere but how can I switch from an annual e.g. 2000 summary output to an intraannual 2000-2001 summary output

In the section of the climatic menu on Dates, try the Use Date dialogue. That allows you to choose your starting month. Many countries use July to June, unless the season may not have quite finished by the end of June. In that case, start from August. We call this the shifted year. Then define your data as climatic with the shifted year. Sometimes you will have some analyses from January and others from (say) July. Then I find it simpler to make a copy of the data-frame with the daily data. So one data frame goes from January, and the other is from July.
