Instead of using parameter list, we can do this on column level for data lists with ::esp
. Templates are assumed to be the default language of a deployment.
Moving this to medium priority as this is no longer required for the FacilitatorApp Mexico deployment, and so there's currently no deployment that needs this
Details For the FacilitatorApp Mexico deployment (and likely others going forward), content authors want to author their content in their mother tongue, Spanish, which is also the language in which the app will be deployed. They will be authoring in Google Docs which correspond to data lists (with the sidekick). However, there is other content of the app (e.g. that applies to all FacilitatorApps) which is English. So we will need to split the content according to which language it is in, and adapt the translation processes accordingly.
How? I think we need some optional metadata on a sheet indicating which language it is in, default English. I think we could use the existing
parameter_list
column on the content list sheet for this.
