Nice. FWIW I've often looked for releases.html
. Don't know if that would also help to show the progression.
I also second the value of exposing part of the data contained in releases.tsv
but I am not yet sold on the best way to represent it. A couple of thoughts:
Current stats
paragraph probably contains the information of most general interest and value i.e. a short representation of the stats of IDRstudies.html
simply exposed the stats of a table. That's easy enough to do something similar for releases
but since we are talking about time-series, a few graphical representations might be something to consider.I like the current stats paragraph at the top of the studies page. It would be good to highlight the key points though. For example, 218 TB and 81 studies could be in bold text as these will be updated per release.
or even links to the release page ;)
Merging, following the validation of 8aa346c by the IDR team.
As discussed during the weekly meeting, this paragraph might further evolve, potentially into three distinct page (stats
?, studies
, releases
) containing complementary information about the vital IDR metrics and cross-linking to each other.
The
Current Status
paragraph which contains essential stats about the IDR is quite hidden at the bottom of the index page. This PR proposes to move it to the top of the page listing the published studies (and their stats). It also includes commonly used IDR statistics including:Feedback on the best place to put this information as well as additional/alternative valuable metrics welcome.
