DLNA in Windows #13

Hi there,

I really wanted to give this one a try in Windows, but I had looked through all the interface settings in EMP and can't find anything that indicated DLNA playback is possible, despite advertised as such.

The only clue was the "Show All Files" option is disabled by default. This is a PRO-feature. Can you clarify what exactly is "Show All Files"? Could it possibly related to my inability to view media from DLNA server?

I had tested with VLC player and the DLNA server is working as expected.

Hi there, The DLNA servers lookup is enabled through the media servers option image When enabled, and there is an DLNA server discovered it would show in the players file explorer image The "Show all Files" option is for showing and interacting with non media player related files(zip, txt, etc) in the internal media player file explorer and could be useful when using its file manager capabilities for transferring files from/to OneDrive/Dropbox or between removable drives on XBOX where there is no native file manager. This feature doesn't affect DLNA servers because on such only media files will be visible either way.

Thank you so much for replying! Unfortunately in my case, my EMP instance in either the host/client can't view the DLNA libraries on LAN Kinda a bummer, because I tried Kodi and VLC and they were able to discover it. (Kodi use "Enable UPnP support", vlc seemed to handle it from Libraries Interface, something along the lines of UPnP too). ImgVNC For some reason Kodi UPnP doesn't show libraries on my host also, but works on another Windows client, which I would plan to be used later if this works :)

So yea idk...perhaps there is an incompatibility somewhere between my Jellyfin DLNA plugin and EMP. I'm not dev, but would you please look into this and see if this can be mitigated? Playing DV in Firestick usually came out as too dark haha :)
