Hi Huzaifa, My first guess would be the cable is pulling a lot on the platform, so it's static equilibrium position is significantly different than normal. Do you have simulation results long enough to show it achieving a new (nonzero) equilibrium position? If so, you could then check if the mooring force in x balances the cable force in x, and if they seem reasonable. Otherwise, it could be an error in the model. Keep us posted. Matt
There seems to be a massive difference in platform motions for the 15 MW IEA Semi-submersible without and with cable under no environmental loads. Unable to spot the root cause of the problem. Max Surge without cable =0.5m , Max Surge with cable = 7 m. Bottom stiffness (Moordyn) seems to have no impact on the restricting the motion of the platform . Open for suggestions and ideas .![sur](https://github.com/IEAWindTask37/IEA-15-240-RWT/assets/87178317/3de6f847-6264-485b-9068-c495120a9cfa)
