This is a nuance, but since 2020 the standard convention has been to name the primary branch in a repository main. There's lots of opinion on the internet on this, but ultimately GitHub committed to it and it's the standard for new repositories. This issue is to call attention to this, and suggest to change the default branch from master to main. See this GitHub repo README for guidance on making the change.
Ultimately, it's a seamless change, and most repositories have adopted this convention. My opinion is to make the change and don't think too much about it.
