In the EYA DEF we currently do not distinguish between the assessment period and the operational lifetime. The period assessed in the EYA is assumed to be the operational lifetime. That might not always be the case. The expected operation lifetime could for example be 35 years but an EYA may consider only the first 10 years. We need to adjust the fields in the EYA DEF to use the assessment period rather than operational lifetime. For the project under assessment, the operational lifetime is not relevant. It is only the assessment period that matters for the assessment. For external wind farms that have a wake impact, the operational period is of significance.
