Physical/Virtual AIS Aid to Navigation #16

In S-101, two features are present for AIS AtoN: PhysicalAISAidToNavigation and VirtualAISAidToNavigation.

In Ed2.5, we have the attribute typatn that is available for the features BOYLAT, BOYSPP, bcnlat, boylat. Are we keeping it in S-401 or are we using it if typatm=2 (or 3) to create a feature PhysicalAISAidToNavigation (or VirtualAISAidToNavigation)

Comex² S-401 WG meeting - 240320: This issue has an impact with VTT. It will be addressed in a future meeting.

The topic was discussed by the VTT and IECDIS working groups in Europe. It was decided to keep the current inland 2.5 approach instead of the S-101 approach. This proposal will be posted on the forum and put on the agenda of the next IEHG meeting.
