The junction of Brazilian symbol catalogues will allow to adopt a national Inland ECDIS. The inclusion of new symbols will allow to represent the Tietê-Paraná waterway in IENCs (nowadays only on paper nautical charts).

New concepts have been submitted to the DCB. We are waiting for the final decision. As soon as it is done, the new enumeration values based on these concepts will be assigned.

The concepts have been approved by the Register Manager on 23/04. New enumerations from 124 to 127 have been submitted for categoryOfNoticeMark:

124: Right pillar in passage for Tiete-Parana waterway
125: Left pillar in passage for Tiete-Parana waterway
126: Best transit point
127: Mandatory stopping point for Tiete-Parana waterway
