Would allow plugins to override the outputTransparentGif() method. If accepted into Piwik project, it would keep users on the auto-upgrade path (as opposed to having to re-apply mods to piwik.php).

Hi Anthon, Thanks for raising this issue. I agree that we need to find a better way. I'm working to a tight schedule on this project, but I'll put it on my list of things to revisit near the end.
