Sorry for my bad english but it's not my native language. If you need more info or you need me to do more steps I'm happy to help!

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

  1. Please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue?
  2. Are you connecting 3 displays on your system ?
  3. Is issue is specific to any games? If yes, please specify
92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Hi thanks for your response!

  1. I just run a dx9 game and the bug will appear;
  2. Yes i have 3 screen on my system;
  3. I did a windows fresh install so i have only 2 games on my system that are League of Legends and Overwatch2.

With ow2 the bug is consistent and it happends 100% of the times so far, with lol it's more random: sometimes i can play all the games in a row without a problem and sometimes at the second game I have to reboot my pc.

Thanks again for your fast response, if you need me to take further steps/install more dx9 game don't hesitate to tell me and keep up the good work!

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Thank you for the quick response. Have you enabled CMAA in Arc Control's Global Settings? If so, can you also try disabling it?

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

CMMA is setted to forced disabled

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

This is the only thing that i changed from default settings

ntl1

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Do you play both League of Legends and Overwatch2 on Steam? If then you may try force DirectX 9 mode in Steam by following the below steps:

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

They are not steam games

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Lost ark (dx11 version) and Bluestacks (openGL render) will cause the same bug

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

I ran both the games Overwatc2 and League of legends and was able to play the game. Can you screen capture the issue reproduction steps and share to make sure we are on the same page since we cannot reproduce the issue on our side?

Also, I would like to below details from your side to narrow down the issue:

  1. may I know did you verify the issue with the single display connected? Or the issue is specific while connecting 3 displays?
  2. Are you using the same Brand Displays connected to your system?
  3. May I know how displays are configured? Displays are connected to ARC or System ports?
  4. Above 4G Decoding and Re-Size BAR Support settings enabled in BIOS?
  5. Try to Enable "Opt to Driver Boost" and Game Compatibility settings in Arc control global setting

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Any update for us?

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Do you have any updates for us?

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Sorry for not giving any response lately but I've been busy.

  1. I always played with 3 screen, I'll try with only one and I'll report to you later
  2. No they are from different brands
  3. All displays are connected directly to the Arc GPU
  4. Enabled
  5. Already active

I'm updating the gpu driver with the newest release (4091).

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Do you have any updates for us? Also, did you try with 4091 driver?

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

I think I found out the issue: I was able to replicate the bug after I open a "heavy" hw accelerated program (in my case, I use bluestacks a lot) Sometimes I'm getting extremely low fps on some games after I used Adobe XD (no dxdiag bug tho) but a reboot is fixing the issue.

I'm sorry but I still have to try to test with only one screen because I didn't have much time this week,

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

I forgot to mention that the majority of the times, after I opened a game I cannot screenshare on discord and cannot use the windows screen capture

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 , From our side I have installed different games such as Dakar Desert Rally, Batman Arkham Knight, God Of War, Battlefield_V, Overwatch2 and League of legends but still the system is stable and running with out any issue while launching the games. Besides bluestacks (which consumes high CPU and GPU resources) and Adobe XD, if you remove these apps does the game work without problems?

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Yes, if I don't open bluestacks or adobe xd the games will run fine.

But if, for example:

  1. Run bluestacks
  2. Close blustacks
  3. Try to run a game
  4. The bug is here and:
    • I get extremly low fps OR
    • cannot launch dx11 version --> force to run dx9 (Lost Ark) OR
    • cannot launch at all

A user log out/sys reboot fix the issue

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Thank you for the details. In between, Did you verify the issue with other graphics card brands or issue is specific to Arc ?

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

I previously had an AMD RX580 and I didn't have any issues

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 ,

Thank you for the confirmation. Can you run the blue stacks/ Adobe xd and then launch the task manage and capture the CPU/GPU usage ? Please attach it here. Also, try enabling the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in your system and see any difference. Meanwhile I will verify the issue again and update you. Thanks.

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

The hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling is missing on my system image

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Still unsupported maybe?

Still unsupported maybe?

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000056788/graphics.html

IntelSupport-Arun commented 1 year ago

Hi @92lucio92 , Sorry for the wrong settings, I recommended. Per checking Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling requires a GPU that supports Hardware Acceleration. Combined with a graphics driver that supports WDDM 2.7 or higher. This feature is currently not supported by the latest Intel DCH drivers for Integrated Graphics and Intel® Arc™ Graphics cards. That is the reason you are not seeing this opinion in Windows.

Hope this help to clear your questions. If nothing further to discuss please close this case as resolved. Thank you for the understanding.

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Thanks for the quick response!

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

Hello, can I reopen this or i need to create e new one? The issue is the same

IGCIT commented 1 year ago

if you are facing the issue you describred again, and your configuration is still the same as the one mentioned, feel free to reopen, otherwise, yes, a new issue is a better choice :)

92lucio92 commented 1 year ago

The issue is the same, in fact it never went away it was just less frequent
