Two people I know had video cards from asrock and with driver 4644, they got the bios version 1064, but cards from gigabyte - no! why? This is important, because with the new version of Bios, the problem with darkening the image in warface (which I addressed about a month ago) is minimized.

Have you tried to install the Driver 4644?

You installed 4669, its a Beta Driver and not the WHQL Driver, maybe thats the reason!

I installed the 4644 driver several times, even using ddu! But no, I didn't get the bios update. Updated to 4669 in the hope that you get a bios update in it

Hi all! So let's clarify: The version that came with a Firmware update (vBIOS) is v.4644, I think the best would be to update the title, please, to avoid confusion. @Noobachyo do you get the driver installer successfully running? You should see a warning that the installer does include the FW update and after driver install then the FW update comes and it shows a yellow bang, indicating that the PC should not be unplugged during the process. Can you confirm if you saw that or not at all? I'll find out if there are similar reports to this one and let you know :)

Noobachyo commented 1 year ago

That's the problem, there was no warning about updating the BIOS. Normal driver installation. I don't understand what's the matter. But it's a really interesting coincidence that those familiar with video cards from asrock received this update, and my gigabyte did not

@Noobachyo okay, thank you for the info.

Doing some research, looks like not all ARC cards will be getting the FW update at the same time. It is expected that in some weeks the remaining models get it so, that was the case of your card. So, can you please change the issue type from 'Feature request' to 'Support'? We will be monitoring the upcoming FW releases and let you know when there's a FW release available for your card :)

Hope it helps!

Hello Karen! Do you know anything regarding a corrective firmware update for Acer Predator Bifrost A770? I reported here about the fan problem when the firmware update came, but no concrete response siince then.

Karen-Intel commented 1 year ago

@abrfilho Hi!

Well I know our dev team is working hard on a fix for the fan issue some cards were reporting so it's just a matter of time to have a new firmware update. We don't have a cadence for FW releases yet as we do with drivers but as soon as I know there will be a new one I will let you know!

Karen-Intel commented 1 year ago

@IGCIT is there a way to change the tag from this case from Feature request to support?

We're going to wait until the FW for the card Gigabyte cards has been released and it is not a feature request per se, ty.
