The idea is that you could retrieve specific crops of images that relate to a query if the metadata supported it (OCR or transcribed text, tagging).

Either already supported (there are annotations and regions of images) or out of scope, if you need IIIF to define semantics of "advertisement" or "drug". Propose close.
