I would like to access the OCR text on a structural level (when available) #78

Description

When a logical structuration is available (think about articles in a newspaper processed with OLR), I would like to get the OCR text (regarding this structuration)

Example: http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k96006893/f20 I want the OCR text of this marginal note: marginalia

Proposed Solutions

In the IIIF data model for newspapers, Article structuration is described using Range

Additional Background

OLR generally uses METS/ALTO formats. IIIF and ALTO on-going work

Seems already covered -- articles are described using Ranges. Propose close.

Do we have a way to get the annotations of a range?

glenrobson commented 7 years ago

We have an annotation list per range and then a canvas links to a layer which contains the article lists / articles which are on that page.
