Project Goal: S Lab is a tailored integrative learning and collaboration platform for clinicians that combines the latest research and tacit knowledge gained from experience in a practical way, while at the same time foster deeper learning experiences in order to deliver better AbilityLab Patient care.

Hill Statement: Individual Clinicians can reference relevant, continuously evolving information for their patient's therapy needs to self-manage their approach & patient care plan development in a single platform.

Sub-Hill Statements:

  1. Clinicians can choose what information and knowledge is more relevant to their patient's needs, and have the ability to highlight, annotate, and save that specific information to their personal folder for reference in the future

Story Details:

As a: clinician I want: to see what is the most frequently highlighted/ annotated by clinicians So that: I can quickly see what is other clinicians care about recently

kanalchhajed commented 3 years ago

Proposing update: @zixuan-zhaozhao Instead of care, can we say what most clinicians find insightful/are interested in?

As a: clinician I want: to see what is the most frequently highlighted/ annotated by clinicians So that: I can quickly see what is other clinicians care about recently

This story feels redundant. If you want to put a twist on it, then consider : As a: experienced clinician I want: to see what are the most frequently highlighted/annotated resources chosen by my clinicians So that: I can quickly see what is resonated by my group of clinicians to increase their knowledge

This needs work, but you see where I am going . . .

Iterations: As a: mentee clinician I want: to see which part of the article is the most frequently highlighted/ annotated by other clinicians So that: I can see what other clinicians find important recently and notice it in my learning.

Given that: I am a logged-in mentee clinician and I am reading about a diagnosis publication on the platform. I am curious about what other clinicians find important. When: I clicked a button near the title, Then: the page will show which paragraph is annotated frequently.

Iteration 2 (3rd):

Given that: I am a logged-in mentee clinician and I am reading about a diagnosis publication on the platform. I am curious about what other clinicians find important.

When: I clicked the button "show popular annotations" near the title,

Then: the page will show what sentences are highlighted & annotated frequently. This setting will remain toggled for every article I read until I turn it back off.

Iteration 3 (4th):

Given that: I am a logged-in mentee clinician and I am reading about a diagnosis publication on the platform. I am curious to know what other clinicians find important and insightful since I don't have time to read the entire publication.

When: I click the button "Show Popular Annotations" near the title,

Then: the page shows what sentences are highlighted & annotated most frequently along with the number of times it has been highlighted pop-up as you hover on the highlighted text. This setting will remain toggled for every article I read until I turn it back off.

@sliu131 @JSpragueDesign @kanalchhajed @zixuan-zhaozhao This story relates to #44 .

As a: clinician I want: to see what is the most frequently highlighted/ annotated by clinicians So that: I can quickly see what is other clinicians care about recently

Key to the acceptance criteria is an experienced clinician wants to find patterns in the aggregate of all highlighted and annotated notes to see frequencies to gain insight. Insight is important here as then the experienced clinician can act on this trend in some way.

Also, is there a difference between highlighting (underlining some passage) and annotating (connecting a note to the annotation). While the two are different, they are connected. What does this mean to the experienced clinician in terms of what they want to know?
