The generation of Epics and stories started on a mural board and then were transferred to Zenhub for further refinement:
Step 1: To further connected related sub hills we grouped them under epics which would be the broader purpose that Cabi is doing for its users.
Step 2: Next we generated stories which are essentially the end goals Cabi does for a defined user with a particular requirement. This is the final level of granularity so we tried to link all of our sub hills through the stories to ensure we didn't miss in the details.
Step 3: We identified the categories of function Cabi is providing to the users and defined them as epics.
Step 3: Then we chose 20 stories which we felt were strong points of Cabi and categoried them under the matching epic labels and proceeded to further refine them on GitHub.
Step 4: The stories were iterated as many times (generally ranging from 2-5 times) until the team felt strongly that they captured the end goals and were labeled as 'reviewed & done'.
