This can already be accomplished. Simply delete out the current search object. Copy and paste (ctrl+c, ctrl+v) in your term like normal. The U/I will paste the string in and provide you a list of search subject objects. Either press enter to convert the term directly into exact text or select the matching entity from the list. You'll now have a usual "dark gray" query object. This works both on the simple and advanced query interface.
That does work. I didn't think to try that - I'm used to the paste option on drop down menus. If you could add a drop down paste option, that might be helpful but it is far from a priority.
Is there a way of including a cut and paste option for the simple and advanced search query fields? For instance, if we want to copy a term from a website into the search field.
This is not time-sensitive.
Thanks.
