@KristianNelson I've just added a file to master. This specifies area of rained and irrigated land for all GCAM crop types across HUC areas. Each GLU code and basin name is associated with a HUC2 river basin. You can find shape file for HUC2 fairly easily (the USGS R package may even allow you to download straight into R). If using this data (to be decided during today's team meeting) we'll want to identify to which HUC the city's watershed(s) belong, then determine from the data whether we count the crop as irrigated or not. You'll need to figure out and decide how to deal with cities with watersheds in different HUC2s (there might not be any of these instances).
