Can't launch vim #423

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.launch vim
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What versions of mintty, Cygwin/MSYS, and Windows are you using?
mintty1.13 MSYS in the windows xp

Please provide any additional information below.

* to run vim in the existing mintty session; just type "vim"
* to open a new vim window; type "start vim" 
* to open the gVim windows executable you will have to set up an alias to 
"C:\Program Files\vim\vim73\gvim.exe" (adjust as applicable for your system) in 
your .bashrc file
