The following is the peer review of the Presentation proposal by Derek Rice. The team members that participated in this review are Vera Jackson - @VeraJSolo (solo team)
Content: Is the research question well designed and is the data being used relevant to the research question?
The research question is clear and how the data was used to answer the question are well designed and relevant
Content: Did the team use appropriate visualizations and did they interpret them accurately?
Yes, the maps appropriately visualized the number of objects launched into space, both from current data and predictions, including using an interactive slider. They were also interpreted correctly and explained to the audience well.
Creativity and Critical Thought: Is the project carefully thought out? Are the limitations carefully considered? Does it appear that time and effort went into the planning and implementation of the project?
Yes the project is carefully thought out, and it is obvious care and time were put into the creation of the interactive map and fitting a model to predict future space launch activity.
Slides: Are the slides well organized, readable, not full of text, featuring figures with legible labels, legends, etc.?
Yes, the slides were organized in a clear manner, not overwhelming with text, and the figures were also very easy to interpret.
Professionalism: How well did the team present? Does the presentation appear to be well practiced? Are they reading off of a script? Did everyone get a chance to say something meaningful about the project?
Derek presented professionally and very clearly - his question was thoroughly investigated and answered, and it felt very naturally spoken and well practiced.
