The following is the peer review of the Presentation by Iris Sum. The team members that participated in this review are Vera Jackson - @VeraJSolo (solo team)
Content: Is the research question well designed and is the data being used relevant to the research question?
The research question, "What is the distribution of trash collected . . . in 2023?" was set up well with the introduction of the material and motivation. The dataset and variables used to answer the research question were clearly stated before going into the visualizations
Content: Did the team use appropriate visualizations and did they interpret them accurately?
Yes, Iris explained why a pictogram was used for the first visualization, and a valid interpretation was given. Both visualizations were also easily interpretable upon first glance.
Creativity and Critical Thought: Is the project carefully thought out? Are the limitations carefully considered? Does it appear that time and effort went into the planning and implementation of the project?
Yes, the pictogram with the icons was a creative way to display the similar distributions between the 4 trash wheels. It appears that time and thought were put into this project.
Slides: Are the slides well organized, readable, not full of text, featuring figures with legible labels, legends, etc.?
Yes, there are not too many words on any slide, and everything is legible. The important information is displayed in an organized manner.
Professionalism: How well did the team present? Does the presentation appear to be well practiced? Are they reading off of a script? Did everyone get a chance to say something meaningful about the project?
Iris was very professional, spoke clearly and seemingly not off of a script.
