- Content: Is the research question well designed and is the data being used relevant to the research question?
The questions posed were answered with the data used. Based on the phrasing of the question, I thought there might be more of a mean or median representing how much money is spent by each age group as response but seeing the percentages next to each other is also a cool way to visualize those differences.
- Content: Did the team use appropriate visualizations and did they interpret them accurately?
Yes. The bar plots definitely illustrate counts of categorical values simply and Luis pointed out relevant areas as well as pointing out any data which might be easily misinterpreted due to small sample size.
- Creativity and Critical Thought: Is the project carefully thought out? Are the limitations carefully considered? Does it appear that time and effort went into the planning and implementation of the project?
-Yes. Luis obviously considered what different kinds of data might be interesting to look at from the dataset and pulled those out and adjusted course when it became clear that an original question might not be able to be answered with the given data.
- Slides: Are the slides well organized, readable, not full of text, featuring figures with legible labels, legends, etc.?
Mostly. Axes and legends have default names and values which can have some readability issues in the data exploration portion but stacked columns all have values within the bars which helps direct focus there and they are cleaner. Visualization2 might have benefited from being broken up a bit more (or at least slightly larger font), even on a 32" monitor it's a challenge to read though the colors are visible. Summary slides are text slides which I appreciate when receiving slide decks but I'm not sure they are a benefit for this specific presentation.
- Professionalism: How well did the team present? Does the presentation appear to be well practiced? Are they reading off of a script? Did everyone get a chance to say something meaningful about the project?
Presentation was smooth. Presenter knew what they wee talking about, not reading from a script. Well done.
