New Template for full-widge image articles #9

Change the featured image presentation using this example: nytimes.com/2020/04/01/us/la-county-coronavirus-hospitals.html

joshdarby commented 4 years ago

@MirandaEcho Is the featured image here supposed to also become the background for the header area like in the NYT example?

joshdarby commented 4 years ago

@MirandaEcho It's also probably worth noting that most posts have a featured image (that's hidden) and the first part of the content is an image block with a matching image.

So we'll either need to:

OR

joshdarby commented 4 years ago

Byline and date go below the large feature photo, just as in the NYT example. (both)

Does (both) here mean both byline and date go below the photo, or do it on both templates?

If both templates, we're going to have an issue implementing this on the default template due to reasons described above.

@MirandaEcho Here's a mockup with the new image area and 18px for the paragraph font size

@joshdarby - there's a separate issue for the byline and date placement on the existing template, so we don't have to worry about it in this one and will address it there instead.

She'd like to see the body size increased to 20px. Margins look good.

MirandaEcho commented 4 years ago

Also, she's fine with having to manually switch the images (remove the one from the body, use the featured) when she uses the new template

Updated font size to 20px:
