DE: request for a new harvesting #121

Dear Geoportal Helpdesk,

As mentioned in Roberts Mail from 2020/03/02 we would like to initiate a new push of our metadata records to the EU Geoportal. For this reason, we kindly ask you to start a new harvesting of our catalogue instance and publish them for us in the Geoportal harvesting "sandbox", please.

Dear @alitka,

Our INSPIRE Geoportal ICT team is working to solve an general issue identified in the current harvest console, affecting the harvesting from all endpoints.

For this reason, we are not able to start the harvesting from the DE national endpoint. We will let your know when the issue is resolved and we are able to start the process.

As you know, JRC is prioritising the work on the new INSPIRE Geoportal, which will be the system used in the next INSPIRE M&R. We suggest you to start practising with and harvesting using new GeoNetwork backend, even not being officially launched yet.

Dear @jescriu, Thanks for your response! Currently, I'm not able to use or practise with the new GeoNetwork backend, because I get the following error ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED. Therefore, could you please check what could be the cause? Thanks in advance and best regards.

Dear @alitka, I will report the issue to our contractor (GeoCat). Hope this could be solved soon. Thanks for spotting.

Dear @alitka, The new GeoNetwork backend is running again. And we also managed to solve (yesterday) the issue affecting the current INSPIRE Geoportal, which was due to the application of a recent ICT policy on JRC proxy servers not taking into account the whitelisting rules we envisaged for the INSPIRE Geoportal (not under the control of our Geoportal ICT team). Therefore, we will start the new harvesting for your country when we have assessed the availability of IT resources.

Dear @jescriu, Thanks for this good news. I have checked the new GeoNetwork backend, and it seems, that the latest harvesting (start by you on October, 30th) of our catalogue was successful. Therefore, I would like to publish the results in the INSPIRE Geoportal. How, or better, where can I do that? Thanks in advance and best regards.

Dear @jescriu, unfortunately, we have not been able to run a harvest successfully for 2 months in the new GeoNetwork backend. We get error messages all the time. I have attached the log file. Since Friday we even get this message: {"error": { "message": "Java heap space" , "class": "OutOfMemoryError" , "request": {} } }

Dear @jescriu, thank you, we have seen and published the latest harvesting. To avoid traffic, we filled another geonetwork instance with the inspire records for monitoring 2022. Therefore, can you please use this url „http://gdk-inspire-1.ffm.gdi-de.org/geonetwork/srv/ger/csw“ for the inspire monitoring 2022? Would it be possible to harvest us again before the official monitoring?

This issue is considered closed. New harvesting process requested by DE will be assisted in Issue 147, and subsequent threads under this repository.
