DROID Workflow in Jira Marketplace #5

The objective of this task is to explore and experiment with the Jira board at

tli.atlassian.net

focusing on workflows. The ultimate goal is to create a DROID Workflow and publish it in the Atlassian Marketplace. DROID stands for Design, Research, Optimize, Integrate, Deploy.

Tasks

  1. Access Jira Board:

    • Log in to
      tli.atlassian.net
    • Navigate to the relevant Jira board.
  2. Explore Existing Workflows:

    • Review the current workflows in use.
    • Identify key components and configurations.
  3. Experiment with Workflow Customizations:

    • Add, modify, and delete workflow steps.
    • Configure transitions, conditions, validators, and post-functions.
    • Test the impact of changes on issue tracking and board functionality.
  4. Design DROID Workflow:

    • Define the stages and transitions for the DROID Workflow, which includes:
      • Design: Initial planning and design phase.
      • Research: Gathering and analyzing information.
      • Optimize: Improving and refining the design.
      • Integrate: Combining components into a cohesive system.
      • Deploy: Final deployment and release.
  5. Create DROID Workflow:

    • Use the Jira workflow editor to create the new DROID Workflow.
    • Validate the workflow through testing and iterations.
  6. Prepare for Marketplace Submission:

    • Document the workflow, including setup instructions and use cases.
    • Ensure compliance with Atlassian Marketplace guidelines.
  7. Submit to Marketplace:

    • Package the workflow for submission.
    • Complete the submission process on the Atlassian Marketplace.
