SRE - Specifying what search modality the search response represents #22

With the prospect that multiple searches can be launched from a single request, there appears to be no mechanism for describing in a SRE what search modality, the enclosed search result refers to. (e.g is it fingerprint or face or DNA related) The standard needs to describe. For many organisations that separate their biometric capabilities into different systems , then the processing of the search may go to different parties/systems within an organisation so establishing that via a specific field would be important for correct routing/processing on receipt. (I am making the assumption that search outputs would be responded to as separate transactions (given that they may have separate processing/response times); if a consolidated response is envisaged this needs to be described (and would be a significant change and this type of information is still required to align search results within the one message, if both options are supported then a further field describing whether separate or consolidated response is desired might be needed )

Also Type 9 could be included in the SRE to further support the match when it comes to Fingerprints.

Search Results will be sent back for individual match per Modalities. We also need to include scores and details on those matches. As well as statistics (number of markers along with statistical relevance,...) for DNA Matches.
