Files to be changed:

script/base.sh
script/env.sh
script/base.ps1
script/env.ps1
backport docker images versions of script/docker* with those in deploy/docker, deploy/services/services.js, deploy/services/gitlab/, docker/
port docs.ps1 from PR #636
docs/developer/index.md (please remove git-hooks information as well; load venv every time)

Required changes:

python venv
nvm for Windows and non-Windows; make node 22.x default
remove docker-compose

CAVEAT: installs of shell and powershell install the same

It seems that the docker images script/docker is up-to-date with the various others.
