Please change the input form to move the StorageSystem section first, before the SuperComputer section. We found quite a number of submissions with detailed SuperComputer sections, but very sparse StorageSystem sections, and suspect that there is "input fatigue" for the very long form.
In the StorageSystem section, rename "NAS" to "Other" so that it is more clear that this is for free-form entry for a storage system not listed.
I think that "COST" be removed from all sections (I don't think anyone has ever completed this) since it is confusing to be among the storage types (at one point I thought it was a typo for "COTS" (Common Off The Shelf) generic servers).
Similarly, has anyone ever filled in "ENERGY" for any system? If not, it should be removed from StorageSystem to reduce clutter and then this would allow making it mandatory to select one of the StorageType options.
Require that at least one StorageType be completed, and within there at least one server is added with a StorageMedia section. We had about 70% of submissions without any detail of the actual storage used, even though we know the CPU cache size on the SuperComputer, which is not very helpful for IO500... :-/
In the server box (OSS/MDS for Lustre), the StorageMedia should be listed before Processor, Interconnect, and Memory, again because this is the most important metadata to be filled in.
