The plan is to do this via containers.
Some new (unmerged) docs from https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/10273
https://dataverse-guide--10273.org.readthedocs.build/en/10273/container/running/demo.html
They assume the "alpha" (latest release, 6.1 as this writing) is used but...
The plan is to use a custom Dataverse build (not a release)
... we can create local images from whatever branch.
Looking into this now. Once again, huge thanks to @pdurbin for IQSS/dataverse#10273 and for leading the containerization effort overall.
This is done, in the minimum required/base form: we have a NERC instance running, as a Docker deployment inside an OpenStack VM: http://199.94.60.124:8080/. We'll need to add to it/make it prettier (for ex., obtain a nice-looking DNS for it) before the presentation, add more data, etc. etc. As a parallel effort, more experimentation with OpenShift may happen between now and then. It would be great to work out - not just for the demo, but as its own goal - but it's worth noting that it's not going to affect the look and feel of the presentation itself.
Resized to 10 for this upcoming sprint.
Will wait to close this until after the presentation tomorrow.
A child/sub-issue of #105. The plan is to do this via containers. The plan is to use a custom Dataverse build (not a release) for the actual demo, with whatever extra features added. We will start with a stock 6.1 or a bugfix patch thereof.
