Thanks for your interest! I'd let @jaromir-benes to cover future plans and just highlight the existing possibility to use IRIS Toolbox with the GNU Octave. Although the most recent versions of IRIS released here are not yet compatible with the Octave there was some work done in the past making one of the older IRIS versions work with the new Octave: https://github.com/OGResearch/iris4octave Feel free to give it a try
Dear IRIS Solution team: I just wanted to make a request to your team and it's about a transition from Matlab to JULIA or R. I was wondering if it is possible for your team ( or any possible plan ) to develop a new package(with same utility) for JULIA or for R or Can I use current IRIS tools on JULIA/R. As you know, MATLAB is super expensive and most of the schools or dept are now switching from MATLAB to open sources. Two widely used, and going to more popular in academic economics are JULIA and R. Indeed, adding IRIS solutions to these two languages would a great academic contribution, will open a new window, and would bring much more handy tools to macroeconomic and time series researchers. Its completely my opinion and a request to IRIS team and I would appreciate if you consider my request as part of your future plan. Thanks
