Recordings can be very large #201

Recording large systems can lead to very large files. The common solution is to save less often. We could also consider compressing the frames.

This is relevant to @mcsloy's student's work.

@mcsloy I will likely work on that and #200 soon. It would be good to know what your ideal scenario would be. For now, I am thinking about having an argument that lets you tune how many times a second you save frames.
